Then you'll want to repeatedly craft the portable slot machine (8 pennies) or some other 'cheap' recipe that creates an active item.

The idea is to find the secret room as soon as possible once you've picked your floor. Either reset until you get a first floor XL floor or play until you're on a larger floor. To get bone hearts, start a game with Tainted Cain and Tainted Keeper on a second controller.

If you're only missing a few items, you can try to craft Death Certificate with Tainted Cain (you need 8 bone hearts) to guarantee the item. You can also use Eden / Tainted Eden (to the extent that you have Tokens to use) to try to get some of your missing items. I find this to be a better alternative to 'Hold R to Win' as it's much less tedious (and holding the joysticks in for quick reset hurts my fingers). This is not an in-depth guide on how to unlock Dead God (basically, you have to do / get everything in the game to unlock this achievement) but is rather a method to make the process much easier (I am winning nearly every run now, regardless of character).
